My experience at the Solitude ranch is very difficult to describe in words alone. Hopefully the picture of my mule deer says it all. My stay at the ranch was unforgettable and a time that I think of often. The ranch has everything you could possibly imagine to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. After a long day of hunting there is nothing better than coming back to a warm bed and a hot shower. Solitude also provides all of the gear you would need for your hunt. Their animal storage facilities are top-notch! You can rest assured that your trophy will be well taken care of between the walk-in cooler and separate walk-in deep freezer.

I have traveled all over the country hunting and have experienced the frustration of spending time and energy in an area that has few or no animals to pursue. The Solitude Ranch has such an abundance of game that it is almost unreal to experience. I came to Solitude to shoot a Mule deer from the ground with my bow. I know that this is no easy task and was prepared that I might be coming home empty handed. Nothing could have prepared me for the opportunities I had at the Solitude Ranch. Within the first 15 minutes of my hunt I had a nice 4x4 mule deer 35 yards in front of me. I decided to pass, but saw around 150 mule deer, 30 Merriam turkeys, numerous Whitetail deer and a lot of Antelope on my first day. The second day started much the same and on the evening of my second day I connected on a nice 4x5 mule deer at 21 yards. The varying terrain offered by the Solitude ranch affords hunters of different experience levels the ability to tailor their hunt to exactly what they want.

I highly recommend the Solitude ranch to all of my friends and anyone who wants an affordable and fulfilling western hunting experience. This won’t be my last trip to the Solitude Ranch! In fact, I am planning to bring my dad and another hunting buddy back next year to experience the hospitality, amazing animal availability, and beautiful landscape that made my trip to Solitude one of the highlights of my hunting career.
