If you are looking for a great hunt for Whitetail Deer or Mule deer then the Solitude Ranch is a place you really want to check out. I had a great time at the Solitude Ranch not only for the hunt, but the people were great to be around.They have every thing you need to enjoy yourself, such as really comfortable accommadatios to get a good nights rest, hot shower, and really nice walk in coolers to assure your meat will be as fresh as it was the day you harvested it.

At the Solitude Ranch you can plan to see hundreds of deer a day. The first evening I saw around a hundred whitetail deer with some really nice bucks but I was there for my first mule deer. By the second evening I had seen so many bucks that I had to shoot this nice 3x3 mule deer with a 21" inside spread. I saw several Mule Deer bucks that were bigger, but I was happy with the one I took, especially since I put him on the wall!!

I spent the rest of my stay driving and glassing the 30,000 acres Solitude offers, and saw so many nice Whitetail Deer, as well as some really nice Mule Deer bucks that were a lot bigger then mine. So if you don't get trigger happy like I did, you too can find the trophy your looking for at the Solitude Ranch, and if you get there before I do in the 2008 season PLEASE don,t shoot that monster 6x7 Mule deer that I have tied up to that Ponderosa Pine tree, I'm saving that one for me!
