Welcome to the Solitude Ranch and Outfitters website. Where hunting trophy
Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Antelope, and
Merriam Turkey is our passion. Your success comes from our commitment to giving you some of the best hunting you will ever experience. A strict wildlife management plan, along with a
“Primitive Weapons Only” rule, keeps things on a fair playing field. In return, we have plenty of mature animals that have been
able to reach their full potential. Wyoming’s Black Hills and Belle Fourche River bottoms,
located beneath our country’s first national monument “The Devils
Tower”, holds a large amount of Pope & Young caliber trophy
Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer as well as a very healthy Merriam Turkey population.
Come and enjoy what every hunter has said to be the most game filled week of his or her lives. It is very common for hunters to see as many as 100
deer a day, and in the fall you’ll see as many or more Merriam
Turkeys.

The Whitetail Deer hunting in this area is some of the finest you will find anywhere in the country. Hunt
Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer with the same tag in your pocket. That’s
right! If you have a Whitetail on your mind, and you see the Mule
Deer of your dreams, then go after him, because your tag is good for either
species. It’s highly likely you’ll get that chance from a
treestand. Imagine taking a trophy
Wyoming Mule Deer from a treestand, or ground blind.

Hunting Antelope on the prairie, mixed with agriculture, and river bottom is about as exciting as it gets. Hunters can sit on water holes or spot and stalk a very healthy
Antelope herd. The area offers enough cover, deep draws, and rolling hills to plan your stalk and be successful with
archery gear or muzzleloader. The possibilities for the best
Wyoming Pronghorn Antelope hunt of your life are here. Again, we do our best to harvest only mature animals to keep the trophy quality high. We recommend to each hunter to wait for a quality
Antelope Buck, so that he or she will not go home disappointed.
If you finish early, help with our management, and buy an over the counter left over doe tag. It’s a very inexpensive way to load up on meat, and have more fun in the process.
We hunt 30,000 acres of prime Black Hills countryside. The terrain
consists of Ponderosa Pine covered hills, red rock canyons choked
with pockets of Burr Oaks and many acres of agricultural fields
planted with Alfalfa, Wheat, and Barley. Again, you will literally
be hunting in the shadow of our country’s first National
Monument the awesome “Devils Tower” which was dedicated by
President Theodore Roosevelt in September of 1906. |

During your Wyoming hunt it’s possible to see Eagles, Bobcats,
Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Foxes, and maybe even a Bull Elk or two. This abundance, and variation of wildlife will give our guests an experience they won’t soon forget. It’s no wonder the Native Americans of the area referred to this land as the “Sacred Black
Hills”. Have a look at our hunting
articles page to read about some of our clients hunts. Don't
forget to check out our photo
gallery to see some of the trophies harvested.
Your stay will be in total comfort at the Hulett
Motel, which is centrally located in the small town of Hulett, Wyoming. Your private room with cable, and air conditioning is within walking distance of several restaurants, and a small sporting goods store.
